Camp Descriptions Day Camp Programs (Summer: June 16th - August 22nd) Pioneers Pioneers buckle-up for fun and high adventure. Each week is filled with a wonderful array of activities such as: swimming, arts & crafts, daily field trips, games and special events. Pioneers will have fun discovering the world around them. Extra-special field trips include San Jose Tech Museum, Marine World, Water World, Dicover Museum. The staff to camper ratio is 1:8. Grades: K & 1st Cost: $175/Facility Members, $195/Program Members Adventurers Get ready for many fantastic thrills this summer! Each day includes lots of fun activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, games and daily field trips including Nickel City, Marine World, Pump It Up, Jungle, etc. The staff to camper ratio is 1:10. Grades: 2nd & 3rd Cost: $175/Facility Members, $195/Program Members Explorers Campers will get the chance to explore exciting places, while challenging themselves in a safe environment. Activities include lots of fun activities, swimming, sports and games. Campers will experience overnight camp outs and daily field trips. Extra special field trips include: Raging Waters, Ice-skating, San Jose Tech Museum, Nickel City, etc. The staff to camper ratio is 1:10. Grades: 4th & 5th Cost: $175/Facility Members, $195/Program Members Movin' On Take trips to places like Raging Waters, Great America, and Marine World! Experience overnight camp outs with new friends! Activities will also include: swimming, sports, drama, and daily field trips. Once a week campers will get to chose their own field trips and activities. These activities encourage the youth participant to accept challenges and explore new ideas. The staff to camper ratio is 1:10. Grades: 6th - 8th Cost: $175/Facility Members, $195/Program Members * Great America & Santa Cruz Overnight Weeks: $175/Facility, $195 Program Members C.I.T. (Counselor In Training) Our C.I.T. program offers teens an opportunity to apply their camping experience toward developing leadership skills in real life group situations. C.I.T.'s will get special training in leadership skills, assist camp counselors and participate in activities. Participants must fill out YMCA of SF application and interview with camp staff. Grades: 9th - 12th Teen Travel Camp New this summer! Don’t miss out on the best week of your life. Teen Travel Camps are designed to provide an opportunity for teens entering grades 9-12 to challenge themselves both mentally and physically. Our Multi-Adventure Trip will include surfing, mountain biking, camping, and much more. The River Rafting Trip will spend the week exploring the Trinity and American Rivers. Space is limited to 12 participants per trip so sign up early. Cost: $360/Facility Member, $385 Program Member
