Annual Giving Campaign

As a branch of the YMCA of San Francisco, the Embarcadero YMCA strengthens the foundations of community with youth development, healthy lifestyles and social responsibility. For 34 years, we have helped teens who have failed to graduate from high school move on to become contributing, successful adults.

Every day, more than 5000 San Francisco students skip school.  By 12th grade, that adds up to a lot of drop outs.  For 33 years, San Francisco teens have relied on our community to fund Youth Chance High School, a program of the Embarcadero YMCA

Thanks to our generous donors, we can welcome children, teens, adults and families who are unable to afford the full cost of participation in a YMCA program or activity

In 2008-2009, the Embarcadero YMCA served 12,743 participants of all ages, gave out $1,447,769 in free and subsidized programs to the community, and served 1730 participants under the age of 18 at five different sites. Every donor and every single donation to our Annual Giving Campaign helps us serve those participants.
