Our New Identity
Our Chinatown YMCA has a brand new look
As ever, the Chinatown YMCA is about people and about community. We have a 99-year legacy in the community and that will continue to grow as we move into our renovated facility.
Capturing the spirit of our rich legacy as well as our bright new future, we worked with Hot Studio to design a new “identity” that complements our existing Y logo. It reflects a clean, modern look as well as the traditional Chinese character for “human” (specifically the blue form). This is pronounced “youn”; ask one of our Cantonese-speaking staff or volunteers to say the word for you. The blue, orange, and green characters together symbolize “humanity” and “community coming together.
