After School Programs

Chinatown YMCA's Afterschool Programs enriches the lives of over 600 elementary and middle school students by giving them opportunities to develop and thrive academically, socially and emotionally in a structured and caring environment.
Our programs employ highly experienced staff who guide the children through this important period of growth.
These afterschool programs support Chinatown YMCA's goal of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
The Chinatown YMCA University (CYU) is an after school program for youth grades K-5 who seek extra academic support. We provide homework assistance, enrichment activities, and family involvement. CYU will work closely with school teachers to develop an after school academic plan for each participant.
Our experienced tutors and program leaders will also lead enrichment activities such as cultural arts and crafts, cooking, sports, and group projects.
