Our Athletic Facility is your wellness center – a place to hit the weights for some strength training, get on the treadmills or stationary bikes and work up a sweat, or to use any of our range of machines to tailor your fitness plan perfectly.
Active Older Adults (AOA) exercise classes here at the Shih Yu-Lang Central YMCA are designed with our senior community in mind. These classes do not require physical prowess or coordination, but will still get your body moving and your blood flowing!
Tai Chi, a relaxing form of meditative exercise, is based on a series poses and movements that reduce stress, increase flexibility and energy, and build strength.
Healthy Hearts is a general fitness class for older adults where we focus on developing cardio endurance, upper and lower body strength through light kickboxing, dance and hand weight use. We also emphasize developing balance for fall prevention.
