Program Descriptions

Kokikai Aikido

Kokikai Aikido is a non-violent, highly effective form of self defense suitable for men and women of all ages and abilities. Benefits of this class include: self-defense, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance, self-confidence and coordination of mind and body. The instructor has a website for further information. Body Sculpting

This non-aerobic class features a rhythmic warm-up, followed by isolation of each muscle group to strengthen, tone and condition the total body. Hand weights, body bars, and the body's own resistance are utilized in this class. All levels welcome.

Capoeira

A brazilian martial art form that combines music, dance and self-defense to create a unique art form. It is a rigorous form of exercise, which can greatly improve flexibility, coordinator and strength.

Cardio Dance

The goal of Cardio Dance is to have fun - and notice at the end of 45 minutes you are drenched in sweat! Combining elements from jazz, ballet, modern, and hip-hop, the class will keep your heart-rate up. Combinations are short and easy to follow; there is no standing around in this class! Each combination goes with a specific song, and personal expression is always encourated.

Core Conditioning

New class added to the schedule. Come challenge yourself by working on your core muscles.

Hatha Flow Yoga

Hatha is the physical practice of yoga. Hatha Flow is a technique that combines Iyengar and Ashtanga styles to create a flow of postures. All levels welcome.

Indoor Cycling

Indoor cycling classes are exhilarating, high intensity, cardiovascular workouts specifically designed to burn lots of calories and fat. All fitness levels are welcome.

Integral Yoga

Integral yoga is spiritual in nature. The instructor guides students to go gently inward and experience the effects of the postures. Silence, acceptance and awareness are used to relax the body and mind.

Reiki Healing Spend two hours with our therapist and see how Reiki healing can stimulate your internal immune system, allow for deep relaxation, channel natural healing energy, relieve tension, pain and stress.

Step Intermediate

A high intensity, low impact workout, which includes the use of Step Reebok benches to burn fat, shape and sculpt muscles. Knowledge of Step terminology is recommended but not required.

Stretch and Strengthen

One-hour full body stretch. A great class for all levels and a nice addition to any workout.

Tai Chi

This ancient Chinese practice combines a series of slow, gentle body movements with relaxation. The movements are done standing and many are subtle but precise. Attention and appreciation is given to every part of the body, focusing positive energy.

Fees

All group exercises classes are free for members.

Program Memberships

Program memberships are available for a $50 annual fee. For additional fees, program members can also take strength training for women classes, swim lessons, join the triathlon club or participate in sports such as volleyball and badminton.
