YMCA Camp Jones Gulch-

Providing quality resident camp programs for the Bay Area since 1934

YMCA Camp Jones Gulch, a branch of the YMCA of San Francisco, has been serving San Mateo County since 1934.  We are the stewards of 927 acres of pristine redwood forests and open meadows.  Each year we bring thousands of children into this spectacular setting to understand and appreciate nature, to challenge them physically and developmentally, and to instill in them values that will help them develop into successful and caring young adults.

At YMCA Camp Jones Gulch we believe that every child needs and deserves access to a natural environment and outdoor recreation to help them maintain a healthy body, a healthy mind and healthful habits.  Through the generous support of individuals and foundations, we are able to offer scholarships to children who would otherwise be missing out on a potentially life-changing opportunity.

Our 927-acre facility has overnight accommodations for groups of 40 to 400 in a variety of dormitory-style cabins, multiple meeting rooms and program areas. Our site can be reserved exclusively for a large group or sub-divided into four villages. Each village with its own meeting space, campfire circle and access to program areas. Our miles of hiking trails throughout the Redwoods make us the camp of choice for youth, college and women's retreats, band camps, religious organizations and more. Our YMCA Resident Camp programs include family camp, summer camp for ages 6-16, and winter camp for ages 6-16.

Our Leadership Ventures program offers teambuilding and group development experiences at our ropes course in the Redwoods for both youth and adult groups.

Through partnerships with San Joaquin and San Mateo County Outdoor Education programs, we host over 9,000 5th and 6th grade students for five-day, environmental education based programs.

The YMCA of the USA has a long history and a vibrant future.  Check out the many current initiatives and campaigns.
