BAYVIEW YMCA MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
Payment
Membership dues may be paid in full for either three,six, nine or twelve months in advance. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express at the Member Services Desk. An electronic fund transfer via checking account or credit card is an easy way to join the YMCA and divide the annual fee into a manageable monthly payment. Your account will be automatically debited on the 5th or the 20th of each month. A $15.00 service charge applies to rejected drafts, and a minimum 30 day notice from the payment date is required to stop the bank draft. Membership dues are subject to change at any time pending 30 day written notification to members.
Cancellation
You may terminate your membership with a 30-day written notice and return of your membership card. A temporary card will be issued for the remainder of the month. For annual memberships, any remaining months will be refunded. Bay Area joining fees are non-refundable after the first 30 days of membership.
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance, to the extent possible, is made available through the generosity of our members and donors. Please inquire at the Member Services Desk for an application. All applications take 3 business day to process.
Membership Holds
You can place your membership on hold once per year for a minimum of one month, maximum of six months. For non-medical holds there is a fee of $5 per month.
Guest Policy
Adult memberships receive 5 guest passes per year. Family memberships receive 10 guest passes per year. All guest passes renew annually in January. These guest passes are in the system, just bring your guest and check them in at the front desk. Day passes for guests of facility members, members of other YMCA branches, and the general public are available. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to sign the mandatory release of liability. A parent or guardian must be present to sign for any guest under the age of 18. YMCA members visiting from another branch must have a valid YMCA card from that site.
Membership I.D. Cards
It is mandatory to bring your membership card each time you come to the facility. If you forget your card, you must have a valid picture ID, or you will not be allowed into the facility. If you lose your card you may purchase a new one for $5.00.
