Counselors In Training - Are you interested in working with children and becoming a better leader? If so, then come and join our Counselors In Training (CIT) program! CITs will learn how to be a Y-Camp counselor through training and hands-on experience. You will learn important counselor skills such as the basics of CPR and First Aid, supervision, behavior management, camp songs, skits, arts & crafts, sport, games, and risk management. To be a CIT, you must attend the CIT Leadership Camp offered Weeks 1 and 5. After that, you can further develop your skills as a counselor by signing up for multiple weeks of CIT Fieldwork. CIT Fieldwork provides hands on experience with youth in actual day camp programming under the instruction and supervision of experienced counselors. |

Sun and Service Mexico Trip - Sun and Service is a one week service experience in Baja, Mexico. Mornings on this trip are spent doing restoration projects and cleanup at local parks and schools, and afternoons are spent using those beautified places to do arts, crafts, games, and sport activities with local children. When we leave a community, we distribute all of the arts, crafts, sports, and building supplies we brought to local leaders and teachers to continue to use in their communities. Spanish speaking skills and experience working with youth are useful but not required. Join a group of energetic and committed young people for the experience of a lifetime! |
