Youth Sports

"Where Every Child is a Winner"
At the YMCA, winning isn't everything. Our main goal is to foster a non-competitive, pressure-free atmosphere to help ensure your child's team sports experience is a positive one. As with all YMCA youth sports, the FUNdamentals of the game will be stressed along with teamwork and sportsmanship. Every child is guaranteed to play at least half of every game. There are no tryouts, no wins or losses, just good healthy fun!

Summer Basketball League
All Levels, Boys and Girls Grades K-5
Each youth participant will receive a T-Shirt/Jersey, and a medal for participation.
Season: June 23 – August 22
Practice: 1 day a week for 40 Minutes
Games will be held on Fridays between 4 and 9pm.(Some games may be played on Thursdays! Game times based on enrollment and subject to change).
Fees: Facility Member $99, Program Member $109,
Community Member $119

Private & Semi-Private Basketball Lessons

The Peninsula Family YMCA is proud to offer private and semi-private basketball lessons for adults and children 5 years and older. This is a wonderful opportunity to get individual attention to your specific
skill needs.

Private (1 individual : 1 staff) session of basketball lessons includes six 30-minute lessons. 

Semi-Private (2 individuals : 1 staff)
session of basketball lessons includes six 30-minute lessons. 

Private Basketball Session Fee (6 Lessons):

MY Skate Park

MY Skate Park in Millbrae is a collaboration with the Peninsula Family YMCA and the City of Millbrae. The park has been designed for both skate boarders and in-line skaters and is open daily to the community (weather and daylight permitting). 451 Millbrae Avenue, Millbrae. Easy to get to from San Mateo!
