Group Exercise Class Descriptions
A variety of aerobic classes to offered to fit any schedule and meet any work out need. Classes are free for Facility Members of the North Bay YMCA.
The following classes are offered at the North Bay YMCA:
Latin Rhythm
A fun and exciting workout inspired by HOT Latin rhythms. Steps to Salsa, Merengue, & Cha-Cha are combined with upper body conditioning. Great cardio combination for a fun and hip-shaking workout. All levels Welcome! CARDIO
Aerobic Kickboxing
An aerobic workout consisting of high intensity/short duration activities. Adds dimension and variety to your workout by combing martial art techniques, aerobics and dance, set to energizing music. CARDIO
Fitball Fitness
This low-impact cardiovascular class is effective in burning fat and enhances endurance. Participants use the new Fitball to increase balance, muscle strength and flexibility. (Fitballs are not provided) MILD CARDIO
Spinning/Cycling
A challenging non-impact cycling class that is simple as riding a bike! An effective cardiovascular workout for all fitness levels. CARDIO
Yoga Stretch
Techniques used from Hatha Yoga for ultimate stretch and relaxation. A comfortable atmosphere great for all ages and levels of fitness.
Yang Style Tai-Chi (long form)
A great workout for all levels of fitness Tai-Chi promotes balance, coordination, concentration and an overall sense of well-being.
Mom/Dad & Me
Children will love this class designed to accustom them to group settings and enhance their gross motor skills. Songs and physical activity make learning fun! Parents/Adults must attend class with child.
Power Pilates
An intense step workout followed by group strength training and pilate's. Prior step experience recommended.
Cardio/Step
The ultimate workout incorporating strength training with light weights, dance and kickboxing routines, along with good old fashion endurance training. This class is intended for those seeking a moderated to a high intensity workout. CARDIO |
