The Mission YMCA Senior Center provides social, nutritional, educa-tional, and recreational activities to keep older adults actively involved in our community.  Our Senior programs include a daily lunch program, exercise classes, trips, special events, presentations and appointments with community professionals including legal assistance and health counseling.

Free Daily Lunch Program

 

For those over 65, the Mission YMCA is proud to serve a hot and nutritious lunch Monday through Friday at 11:45.  We provide our Lunch Program in collaboration with Project Open Hand. There is no cost, but there is a suggested donation of $1.50. Younger friends are welcome, also at no cost, but with a suggested donation of $3.50. Meals for the Lunch Program are provided by Project Open Hand.

Please call Ivania Baltodano, Nutrition Site Manager, at our Lunch Reservation line at 415-452-7565. Reservations can be made the night before or the day of before 9:00 am for same day reservations.

   

Food Distribution

Every other Tuesday the San Francisco Food Bank provides one bag of groceries and one bag of produce to low income seniors. For more information please call Wendy Ayala, Senior Services Director, at 415-452-7569 or wayala@ymcasf.org

Senior Council Monthly Meeting

   

Our Senior Council meets the first Friday of each month.

    

  

DORA'S TRIPS

Dora is working hard and planning some exciting trips for the summer. Come join in on the camaraderie and the fun!
 
Please Note: All persons registering at casinos must present identification - driver's license, California I.D., or passport. A Social Securiv card or medical insurance card is not sufficient. If you are not registered, the casino will not pay your rebate.  Colusa, Gold Country, Sho Ka Wah, Feather Falls, and Black Oak will be $1 8 per person.  There will be a $10 door prize on each of these trips.  All other casino trips will be $20 for meinbers and $22 for non-YMCA members.
 
The Colusa bus vvill leave at 8:30 a.m. All others will leave at 8:00 a.m. All trips depad frorn
Missis11 YMCA, 4080 Mission Street, and are open to any person over age 21.
