Features of this new space include 30 ft. vaulted ceilings, 1600 sq. feet of hardwood flooring, very quiet and distraction-free, its own waiting area and lobby, 32 cubbies to put your things, acoustical sound deadening material made from recycled denim, and room to expand the program. Mind-Body Class Guidelines
- Most Yoga and Pilates classes are FREE to Facility Members.
- Space is limited.
- Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to class time. All participants of classes in Studio 1 and 2 (Facility Members, Program Members, and non-members) are required to sign the class sign-up sheet in or near the studio. Ask a staff person for the designated location.
- Props are included but individuals may bring their own.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Yoga
Yoga uses mind-body techniques for relaxation and rejuvenation
while promoting flexibility, self-awareness and strength. These classes
are free with your Facility Membership. Drop-ins, non-members
and Program Members are welcome but need to see Member Services for

Beginning
Yoga All Levels
It
is highly recommended that you take Beginning Yoga before taking
any other yoga class. Each beginning class presents a different
style that is unique to your teacher. Some classes introduce the
use of props. Beginning Yoga is a class for getting you started
or deepening your study of basic postures. It's an easy introduction
to yoga postures and terminology giving attention to alignment and
breathing. Some classes focus on standing poses, shoulderstand and
beginning backbends. Breath awareness and relaxation techniques
will also be introduced.
Ashtanga Basics All Levels
This
class focuses on the fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga and prepares
students for Power yoga classes. Emphasis is on linking the breath
with movement, sun salutations, basic and seated postures. Class
pace is moderate to allow for detailed instruction on proper alignment
and breathing. Beginners welcome.
Hatha
Flow Mixed Level
This physical practice of yoga is combined with Iyengar
and Ashtanga styles to create a flow of poses.
Iyengar
Mixed Level
Yoga characterized by particularly detailed attention
to alignment.
Iyengar Intermediate
An extension
of Iyengar Mixed level, this class requires a working knowledge
of basic yoga postures and each person is comfortable with head
and shoulder stands.
Morning Motion Yoga Mixed Level
Get your blood flowing with a gentle yoga class for all levels. Build strength, stamina, and a sense of grounding. Poses designed to assist your upcoming day. Who needs that morning cup o'Joe when you've got Morning Motion Yoga?!
Power Mixed Level
A challenging
Hatha practice designed to build strength, flexibility, balance,
and body tone. This yoga practice is for the experienced student
familiar with yoga postures.
Wind-down Yoga Mixed Level
Had a long weekend? Do you want a little energy? Well, we have just the answer! Boost your immune system and replenish your energy with yoga at the end of the weekend and before the work week begins. These postures will both challenge and relax you, improving strength and flexibility while easing tension and stress.

Pilates
Increase core strength and stability while working the entire body. See an inprovement in posture, release tension
in joints, and enhance your flexibility and coordination. Pilates
can complement your current workout or any sport-cycling, basketball,
weight training, running, swimming, and more. For additional information

Pilates Basics Beginning/Intermediate
This class introduces the foundational repertoire of exercises for the new participant to gain an understanding of alignment, breathing, core control, centering, flowing movement, precision and routine. Intermediate-level students are invited to attend.
Pilates Intermediate Intermediate
This mat class will strengthen and lengthen your body through a
series of exercises more complex and challenging than provided in the fundamental "Basics" class.
Pilates Flow Intermediate
A challenging repertoire of exercises that link together so that the movement feels more fluid.
Sans-a-Barre All Levels
Get a great workout using standing Pilates techniques with ballet-inspired moves to build core, stability, balance, flexibility and stamina. No ballet experience necessary.
Pilates Plus Intermediate/Advanced
This course is a 6-week progressive series requiring an extra fee. It is designed for those individuals already familiar with the Pilates Mat series and uses equipment for a repertoire of exercises to challenge the participant's experience. Enroll at the front desk.
Feldenkrais
Awareness Through Movement (ATM) All levels
These classes are non-competitive, imaginative, and focus on everyday functions such as reaching, turning, and bending. The aim of the class is to slowly expand your range by sensing your own unique way of moving for more efficient, effortless and graceful movement. Those people who are recovering from injury may also find a therapeutic benefit.
