Donors help us strengthen the foundations of community with programs aimed at youth development, healthy lifestyles and social responsibility.
Your gift can help children, teens, adults and families who are unable to afford the full cost of participation in a YMCA program or activities with programs and services in three areas:
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Provide new futures by helping students who have not succeeded in traditional high school get back on track and get high school diplomas, mentors and career experience and direction at Youth Chance High School

Care for kids after school by offering free after-school programs to children South of Market Community

Offer fun, supervision and adventure with scholarships for summer day camp
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
- Provide swim lesson scholarships

Offer financial assistance to individuals and families who cannot otherwise afford full membership fees at the Embarcadero YMCA.
- Help disabled adults rediscover mobility and wellness at the Exercise Made for People with Disabilities program
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide teens with hands-on experience in legislative and legal processes in Youth & Government
- Reach out with volunteer opportunities engaging teens and adults in leadership development, wellness programs, and as volunteer campaigners for our community programs and services.
