Youth and Preschool Swim Lessons
At the beginning of each session, new students will be assessed by swim instructors to determine which level will work best for them.
Pike (early beginner, ages 3-5)
Develop independent water movement through games and learning to be safe around water.
Eel (must be able to put face in water, ages 3-5)
Learn flutter kick, floating and paddle strokes.
Polliwog (beginner, ages 6-16)
Become more comfortable with front and back strokes, floating, paddle strokes and pool safety.
Guppy (intermediate beginner, must perform paddles strokes, ages 6-16)
Learn front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, and learn to tread water.
Minnow (intermediate, must perform all basic strokes, ages 6-16)
Stoke skills will be further developed for front and back crawl.
Fish (intermediate advanced level, ages 6-16)
Refine all strokes, learn butterfly stroke, learn rescue skills and the proper use of fins.
Flying Fish (advanced level, ages 6-16)
Students work on refining their strokes and on increasing their endurance by performing swim sets.
Shark (most advanced level, ages 6-16)
Students continue to work on all strokes and refine side stroke. The will also prepare for the swim club.

Facility Members $35/session
Program Members $40/session*
*In order to participate in aquatics programming, non-facility members must purchase a program membership. Program memberships are available for a $35 annual fee. Program members can also take our group exercise classes or join one of our sports clubs.
