Day Camp

Our Winter, Spring and Summer Vacation Day Camps provide children with a great place to have fun and experience challenges in a safe environment. Our quality staff are well-trained and sensitive to your children's needs. The focus of these camps is to present children with opportunities they may not normally experience in "inner-city" life. Children have an opportunity to participate in group activities, games and crafts. In addition, youth are able to go on trips that include parks, museums, beaches, pools and places that explore the diverse culture of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Day Camp is offered at our Buchanan YMCA facility at 1530 Buchanan Street, SF, CA 94115 (off Geary Blvd. across from the Japantown Center).

The Elementary Day Camp serves K-5th grades for winter/spring vacation camps & entering K-5th grades for summer programming. Junior Leadership serves grades 6-8 for winter/spring & entering grades 6-8 for summer.

Elementary Day Camp & Junior Leadership Program hours are M-F, 7:30am - 6:00pm (with the exception of holidays noted in the session packets).

To Register, please complete the Day Camp/Junior Leadership Registration Packet. All forms must be submitted to the branch in person, by mail or by fax (415-931-1746).  Forms sent by mail or fax must include a credit card number or third-party payment information (such as Children's Council, Wu Yee, DHS, etc.) If waiting for financial assistance, deposits/fees must be included with application.

Financial is available for all camp sessions. Financial assistance is granted based on individual qualification & availability of funds. All financial assistance is granted on a first come-first served basis- please see the parent information in the camp packet for application deadlines. Financial assistance application can be found in the back of the camp registration packet.
